VOCATIONAL EDUCATION CENTERS WILL END THE LABOR MARKET RHETORIC AS,

Minister Özer attended the sign,ng ceremony of "Those who write future-Investment for young people, software for the future" protocol organized in Küçükyalı in cooperation with Turkcell.
 
Özer started in his speech expressing his condolences to the family of famous poet Sezai Karakoç who died yesterday.
 
Stressing that the Ministry of National Education took important steps in training, production and employment cycle in vocational education that was damaged due to the coefficient application implemented in 1999s, Özer talked about the improvements achieved in the last 3 years.
 
Özer stated that especially vocational and technical Anatolia high schools are working in an effort to respond to the need of qualified human resources for the labor market adding that "vocational education centers are among the most important instruments that will end labor market rhetoric which is 'I could not find the employee I am looking for'".
 
"We have established a flexible system in the transition to the labor market"
Minister Özer stressed that the protocol includes some firsts in vocational education and said, "For the first time, we have established a flexible system that allows high school and higher education graduates to attend 6 or 8 month long training programs and get employed in the labor market.  The Ministry completed the related regulation concerning our cooperation with Turkcell. We call on all students to become a part of our cooperation and attend the planned training programs."
 
"Starting from 2022, all high school graduates will have the opportunity to enroll in this program"
Reminding that the protocol was an important step in responding to the needs of qualified employees in the software sector in Turkey, Minister Özer stated, "In the 21st century, software has become a matter of national security in the world. Our Ministry is planning to make important investments in this field. Starting from 2022, all high school graduates will have the opportunity to enroll in this program. Graduates of vocational high schools, Anatolia high schools, science high schools, social sciences high schools, fine arts high schools who have interest in the software sector will become a part of this program and allow us to make an important improvement in responding to human resources needs in this field."
 
"This project will open the way for employing students in the software sector"
Meanwhile, Chairman of Turkcell Executive Board Bülent Aksu said that the cooperation will respond to a social need adding that, "Today, we are taking an important step in responding to the human resources need of Turkcell software company. This project will pave the way for employing students in the software sector and it will give vocational training at the university level and give certificates to its graduates. Students will receive high level training. The project aims at supporting the software ecosystem of our country in addition to providing social and institutional benefit."
 
Following the speeches, parties signed the cooperation protocol.
 
Training program will last for 6 months
Within the context of the cooperation protocol, software technologies training programs, certification and employment opportunities will be provided to the students and graduates.
 
Those who successfully complete the 6 month long training program will have the opportunity to get employed in the new software company of Turkcell or any of the Turkcell group of companies.
