TÜRKİYE AND TRNC SIGNED A COOPERATION PROTOCOL IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, who was in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, to hold various contacts, met with the Minister of National Education of TRNC Nazım Çavuşoğlu. 
 
During the visit, Tekin and Çavuşoğlu signed the cooperation protocol between the two countries, which includes strengthening relations in the field of education and transferring experience. 
 
Making a press statement, Minister Tekin, pointed out the importance of raising generations that will both protect the heritage and compete in world conditions. He also noted that their motivation is to transfer the deep bond between Cyprus and Anatolia to future generations.
 
Pointing out that the protocol was signed to further carry the existing relations between TRNC and Türkiye, Minister Tekin said that teachers and administrators can protect the legacy of the ancestors who entrusted this geography and ensure that the next generations protect the legacy with the same sacrifice.
 
Explaining that the Turkish Cypriots always kept their traditions alive and did not break away from Anatolia, Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that they always see themselves as a part of the great Turkish nation.
 
Stating that they have always had close relations with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye, Çavuşoğlu stated that Türkiye supports the TRNC in many areas such as technology, in-service training and infrastructure. Çavuşoğlu thanked for the support that Türkiye provided in the field of higher education.
 
During the visit, Minister Yusuf Tekin was accompanied by Ambassador of Türkiye to Nicosia Metin Feyzioğlu, Deputy Minister Nazif Yılmaz, Director General of European Union and Foreign Relations Tuba Korkmaz, Director General of Support Services Ömür Karakullukçu, Director General of Personnel Bülent Çiftçi and Director General of Religious Education Ahmet İşleyen.
