The Ministry of National Education announced that it will conduct a student success monitoring survey with the purpose of defining the knowledge level of students in line with its newly adapted process based assessment approach. The survey is expected to detect possible learning loss that occurred among students during the pandemic and results of the survey will be used for providing required support to students.

Monitoring survey will measure Turkish, mathematics and science knowledge of 4th and 7th grade students and Turkish language and literature, mathematics, psychics, chemistry and biology knowledge of 10th grade students.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer used all means of the Ministry in order to maintain the sustainability of face-to-face education at schools during the pandemic and they will continue to take all required measures for the remedy of possible learning loss that occurred due to distance education.

"Our country recently achieved important success in international surveys such as TIMMS, PISA and PIRLS. These surveys provide us the opportunity to review our education system and urge us to improve our system," said Özer.

Coordination will be carried out by the measurement and assessment centers
Minister Özer said that coordination of the monitoring survey will be carried out by the Ministry under the coordination of provincial measurement and assessment centers in line with the principles defined by the Directorate General for Measurement, Assessment and Examination Services.
