THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION ALLOCATED 8.7 BILLION LIRAS FOR SCHOOLS IN 2021

The Ministry of National Education started to allocate more funds to schools from its budget in 2021. Within this framework, the Ministry Education has allocated 8.7 billion liras for energy bills, utility expenses, cleaning and hygiene materials, education materials and stationery needs of schools in 2021.
 
In 2021, the Ministry spent 720 million and 458 thousand liras for stationary, publications, prints and office supplies. A total of 845 million and 464 thousand liras were used to pay water consumption bills and purchase of cleaning and hygiene products. On the other hand, the Ministry paid 1 billion 652 million liras for electricity, heating and communication expenses.
 
 "The Ministry of National Education showed maximum effort in an effort to respond to the  needs of schools. We have paid basic energy bills of schools such as electricity, water and fuel as well as other utilities. We have worked in an effort to enrich school environments and allocated more funds to disadvantaged schools especially in 2021. We are adamant to maintain this approach in 2022. Our goal is to decrease opportunity differences among schools and use resources in the most effective and productive way possible," said Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.
