PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS INCREASED BY 225 PERCENT IN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF 2022

Production capacity which makes an important contribution to the improvement of practice skills of vocational school students continues to increase. In 2021, income of vocational high schools increased by 131 percent when compared to the figures of 2020 and reached 1 billion 162 million and 574 liras.
 
The Ministry of National Education aims at earning 1.5 billion liras in 2022 from the production of vocational education. Within this framework, total income of vocational high schools in the first three months of this year increased by 225 percent when compared to the last year and reached 333 million and 490 thousand liras.
 
"Our priority in the transformation of vocational education is to reinforce "education- production- employment" cycle. In 2021, income of vocational high schools was increased by 131 percent when compared to the figures of 2020 and reached 1 billion 162 million and 574 liras. Our goal for 2022 is to reach 1.5 billion liras production income and service capacity. Income figures of the first three months of this year reveal that we will easily achieve our goal," said Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.
 
Highest income was from Ankara, İstanbul and Gaziantep
High schools located in Ankara, İstanbul and Gaziantep has earned the highest income in the first three months of 2022, said Minister Özer adding that vocational and technical schools in Ankara earned 34 million liras income while income of vocational and technical schools in İstanbul reached 30.5 million liras and vocational and technical schools in Gaziantep earned 244 million liras.
 
Sincan Fatih Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School Ranked First in Türkiye
Ankara Sincan Fatih Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School earned 7 million and 933 thousand liras and ranked first in Türkiye in the list of production capacity among vocational high schools. Gaziantep Şehit Kamil Beylerbeyi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School ranked second and İstanbul Büyükçekmece Kumburgaz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School ranked third with 6.5 million liras income.
