"My Profession, My Life Platform" providing detailed and updated information about vocational and technical education in Turkey is shown as an example application in the 'International Trends and Innovation in Career Guidance' 2020 Assessment Report prepared by the European Training Foundation-ETF.
 
"My Profession, My Life" platform established in 2019 is largely used by all stakeholders of vocational and technical education.
 
The platform where students, teachers, graduates of vocational and technical education as well as the sector representatives meet and includes detailed and updated information about vocational and technical education continues to enrich its contents every day.  
 
"My Profession, My Life" platform is shown among the innovative examples of using information and communication technologies in career guidance in the 'International Trends and Innovation in Career Guidance' 2020 Assessment Report prepared by the European Training Foundation-ETF.
 
The Assessment Report highlighted various different features of the platform such as success stories in different professions, training of trainees, career opportunities, interview techniques, professions of the future and general approach to vocational education in Turkey.
 
Easy access to the platform, different contents for students, teachers, graduates and parents and constant updates played an important role in listing the platform as an innovative example.
 
Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk announced from his social media account that, "our platform which is among our projects to establish education-production-employment chain in vocational education is listed among exemplary innovative applications in Europe."
 
Minister Selçuk said, "I would like to congratulate Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Director General for Vocational and Technical Training Kemal Varın Numanoğlu and his team who contributed to the success of this platform and in the future of our students."
 
"We focus on guidance services in vocational education"
Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer expressed his appreciation about the ETF's decision to list the platform among example innovative applications.
 
Özer noted that guidance services have been an important part of steps taken in an effort to improve vocational and technical education since 2018 adding that the platform was formed with the goal of creating an environment where students, teachers, graduates can establish interactive relationships with labor market representatives.
 
Noting that "My Profession, My Life" managed to become an interactive platform where students, teachers, graduates and employers meet in a short period of time, Özer said, "Providing all kinds of introductory information about vocational education, this platform has become a main course for students who want to enrolled in vocational schools. Only a few months after the establishment of the platform, the number of visitors searching enrollment in the vocational schools reached 1 million and 700 thousand. In 2020, this figure exceeded 2 million."
 
Content of the platform will be enriched

"My Profession, My Life" platform includes videos introducing all fields of vocational secondary education, school promotion videos, forms and documents needed by teachers, graduates and students. Students and graduates also have the opportunity to see updated employment opportunities and employers also have the chance to announce job postings in the platform.
 
Interviews with experts in the field of vocational and technical education, social and cultural event calendars and updated articles concerning vocational and technical education will be uploaded to the platform in order to enrich its content.
