Organized by the Ministry of National Education, Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education, the competition offers students the opportunity to showcase the skills they have gained through vocational training, while highlighting the traditional tastes of Turkish cuisine.

 

The competition brings together cultural culinary heritage with world cuisines and allows teachers and students in the field of food and beverage services at vocational and technical secondary education institutions to showcase their mastery of culinary arts.

 

The competition, where students have the opportunity to better understand their responsibility in preserving this valuable heritage while showcasing the unique flavors of Turkish cuisine, will be held under the coordination of the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education, led by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, and in partnership with the Hotel Association of Türkiye (TÜROB) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

 

Applications for the competition will be made between January 2-17, 2025 at gastrofest.meb.gov.tr.

 

The festival will be held with the participation of all provinces in 15 gastronomy regions, and the process will be completed with the final competitions and award ceremony in Istanbul between April 15-22, 2025, after the regional competitions.
