MINISTER TEKİN OPENS EUROPEAN RESIDENCES ÇAMLI VADİ PRIMARY SCHOOL AND SPECIAL EDUCATION PRACTICE SCHOOL

The opening ceremony of European Residences Çamlıvadi Primary School and Çamlıvadi Special Education Practice School in Kâğıthane held with the National Anthem and a moment of silence, followed by a promotional video featuring the students.
 
Minister Tekin reminded that Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country and hundreds of thousands of events were held in schools.
 
Stating that he only attended the opening ceremony of schools built by philanthropists in private education, Tekin thanked the philanthropists and local governments who supported education.
 
Noting that there is a need to cooperate with municipalities regarding the places where schools will be built, Tekin said that the Ministry has approximately 60 thousand schools and over 150 thousand real estate properties. Stressing that they need to cooperate very closely with municipalities. Minister Tekin underlined that they are experiencing problems with municipalities that do not want to shoulder the education process with them in producing land.
 
Drawing attention to the existence of municipalities that made zoning changes on school buildings and existing lands, and filed a lawsuit against the Ministry, Minister Tekin stated that there were also municipalities that built schools, gave importance to the cleanliness of schools and educating students, and solved the problems of teachers. Minister Tekin thanked these municipalities for their support on the education and training process.
 
Explaining that the education infrastructure in Türkiye has doubled its capacity in every aspect over the last 20 years, during the Prime Ministry and Presidency of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister Tekin said that the number of classrooms in Türkiye, which was 360 thousand 21 years ago, increased to 742 thousand, including private classrooms. Minister Tekin emphasized that the number of teachers has also increased.
 
Stating that the Republic of Türkiye is a social state, Minister Tekin stated that President Erdoğan cares about children in need of special education and gave instructions to the Ministry accordingly. Noting that the Ministry takes children in need of special education to inclusive classes within the framework of school integration education, Minister Tekin said that they created special education classes and opened special education schools. Adding that they provide education to children in need of special education at home and in hospitals, the Minister underlined that this scale is a scale that will be set as an example to the world in terms of special education.
 
Stating that the number of practice schools in special education is 1 thousand 76 with 35 thousand students, Tekin emphasized that they have implemented practices that can be exemplary in the world in special education. Pointing out that they tend to open different schools for each disability class, Minister Tekin thanked the philanthropist businessman for building an education center for these children in need of special education. Minister Tekin stated that he noticed that the students used the expression "fun" for the school in the video he watched at the ceremony and thanked the philanthropist businessman for his sensitivity in this sense.
 
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held and the school was opened after the speeches.
 
Minister Tekin visited the classrooms at the school and met with his colleagues in the teachers' room after the opening ceremony.
 
Provincial Director of National Education Murat Mücahit Yentür, Istanbul Provincial Chairman of AK Party Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, philanthropist businessman Süleyman Çetinsaya, the builder of the school and citizens attended the ceremony.
