I believe it is really special to see the memory of Yunus Emre under his shadow that covers his words that has deep meanings which are told in such a short but essential way and creates such a climate of sense and commemorate him through some projects. One of the important elements of his works is expressing deep thoughts by using a very plain and refined language. This mentality continues to enrich humanity and his works are the pride of the Turkish language."

Minister Selçuk recalled the importance of Yunus Emre's famous quotes that could be understood by all people even children and stated: "His philosophy and his suggestions to people is of course modesty... Even beyond modesty, his philosophy is giving up on himself and bowing to domination of language... When all these elements come together, I am sure that future generations will continue to share his epic stories and quotes."

Minister Selçuk stressed the importance of works which are put on the display in the exhibition by the Eskişehir Advanced Technical School for Girls and went on to say that, "the Yunus Emre year declared by our President is about Turkish language and this year should be repeated constantly in order to carry the memory and works of Yunus Emre to the future".
