Opening date of schools
In response to the question on the opening date of schools, Minister Selçuk said, "Turkey should not have anything more important than opening schools at this moment."

Calling all citizens to comply with Covid-19 measures during the Eid qurban, Selçuk said, "Let's be careful during the Eid qurban period, let's do whatever it takes to prevent the number of cases from increasing. Let's do this for the future of our children, for the future of this country, for the mental health of the children and of this country. We need this."

Stressing that everyone should do their part for the reopening of schools, Selçuk emphasized that, "We will open schools. This country should not keep its children at home, and teachers should not tire anymore. We should not tire our parents anymore. We should open our schools, I hope we will open them on September 6. Together we will do whatever is necessary for reopening of the schools."
