GOOD NEWS FROM MINISTER ÖZER: A GUIDANCE TEACHER WILL BE APPOINTED TO EACH SCHOOL THAT HAS 100 STUDENTS

Minister Özer gave the new good news in order to ensure that students at all levels of education effectively benefit from psychological counseling services.
 
Sharing a post on his social media account, Minister Özer shared good news for esteemed guidance teacher candidates. Announcing that regardless of the type of school, it will be mandatory to have a guidance teacher in every kindergarten, primary, secondary and high school that has a hundred students, Özer underlined that they will continue to support the psychological resilience of students.
 
We Provided Employment of Guidance Teacher in All Schools that has Norm Staffing
During his visit to Ünye Municipality, Özer stated that the guidance teachers work very hard to support the psychological resilience of the students and guide them when they encounter any problems.
 
Emphasizing that as the Ministry, they continue to work to expand the number of guidance teachers in all schools, Özer said, that they have provided employment as they have appointed 45 thousand on May 8 which was the largest teacher appointment in the last 20 years.
 
Explaining that they have noticed the need for a regulation regarding the norm, Özer stated that Özer stated that it is required to have a norm regarding guidance teachers considering pre-school, primary, high school and other vocational schools with 150 or more students. Reminding that they use the norm staffing for guidance teachers in primary schools that has 300 and more students, Özer said that, they have prepared a new amendment in the norm regulation in the new period and sent it to the Presidency of Republic of Türkiye as of Friday in order to expand the number of guidance teachers in all schools and enable them to efficiently intervene the procedures.
 
Pointing out that according to the new regulation, guidance teachers will be appointed to all educational institutions from pre-school to high school, Özer said that they have made the norm regulation that enables the appointment of a guidance teacher to each school with 100 students. He stated that they opened an important door for the employment of guidance teachers in each school with 100 or more students with the publication of this regulation in the Official Gazette.
 
Underlining that the guidance teachers working in the schools in the earthquake area are likely to contribute much more in the future, Minister Özer emphasized that they will provide an important expansion regarding the psychological resilience of the students in the earthquake area by quickly making new appointments. Özer wished the new regulation to be beneficial to all guidance teachers waiting for the appointment.
