The Economic Development Review Committee (EDRC) affiliated to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has been issuing country reports of member states every two years. The OECD delegation visited the Ministry of National Education in order to exchange views about the preparation of the Review Report of Türkiye which will focus on "Reshaping labor market for global competition and development of works and skills in the digitalization era in the aftermath of Covid-19 pandemic."

Deputy Ministers of National Education Petek Aşkar and Sadri Şensoy discussed data concerning Türkiye during the meeting with the delegation headed by Deputy Director of the Country Studies Branch in the OECD Economics Department Vincent Koen.

Noting that OECD and Türkiye have been involved in close cooperation in many fields since 1961, Deputy Minister Aşkar said, "We believe that OECD provides a platform where member states can compare their political experiences, find solutions to common problems and share best practice examples. The Ministry of National Education values our cooperation with OECD in education and wishes that it will continue to develop."

Aşkar stressed that the Ministry will make an important contribution to the review report as a result of their intensive cooperation with the EDRC.

Meanwhile, Vincent Koen said that they plan to prepare the draft report at the end of negotiations with the other stakeholders and share the final plan with the public in January. Koen mentioned the general views and suggestions of the delegation about education in the report and thanked them for the cooperation of the Ministry.
