Sending a text message to teachers, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin said, "Dear Colleague, I am sharing the letter, expressing my feelings and thoughts for you, our valued teachers, who will carry the 100th anniversary of our Republic to the "Century of Türkiye", with you.

I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings.

 

You are the sacred professionals who built Türkiye's prosperous future... You will undoubtedly be remembered the most in the growing adventures of our children, who are educated in culture, manners and every aspect, when they establish their own world. In the universal reality of building tomorrow today, preparing the generations in every respect according to the conditions of our age will be possible with our efforts as educators. Every teacher who touches not only the minds but also the hearts of our children will build a brand new world and take a place in the holiest and saddest of memories worth remembering.

 

One of the issues that I had the opportunity to experience personally, especially in the "Teachers' Room" conversations, was that the labor fatigue, compassion and sublime happiness reflected from your souls to your faces were inseparable from the teacher qualities we all know. The way you embrace our children like a mother and father and the fact that every issue you want to talk about is related to our children can be considered as one of the rare moments in which I specialize in every precious time I spend with you. The duty undertaken by our education army from past to present in order for Türkiye to come to this day is to sing our never-ending song, your endless song as those heroes who are very familiar to you and "educated three children on a teacher's salary". The duty of teaching, which we have been doing for years with contentment and considering it sacred, is the spiritual consciousness of your efforts that cannot be paid for and your efforts that cannot be related to any material reward, in order to know that we owe the construction of our future to you more than anyone else.

 

Dear Friends,

Considering that Türkiye's political, economic and technological independence is a prerequisite for having a say in today's world, I know very well that you, my esteemed colleagues, see each of our children, who are a building block for this purpose, as Türkiye. This Türkiye has managed to acquire values and resources from many great sages such as Yunus Emre, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and Edebali with the virtue of the teacher and transfer the consciousness of the founding civilization to the generations while transforming the Anatolian culture into historically great states by the value it attaches to knowledge and wisdom. This process, which combines our ancient history with the centenary of our Republic founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, will build on these values in the Century of Türkiye and establish a stronger foundation by transferring knowledge, morality and values to our children, who are the guarantee of our future thanks to you.
