Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that the Ministry provided all kinds of support in order to develop the technological infrastructure of state schools adding that, "technology supported teaching has become an important instrument in maintaining equal opportunity in education in our country. We have installed more than half a million interactive boards to classrooms within 2022. Interactive boards make the learning process more permanent and enjoyable and increase teaching and practice options."

Özer noted that like it happened in the entire world, use of the internet and other information technologies became fundamental education instruments in Türkiey and the FATİH project was included in the public investment program in 2011.

Özer went on to say that: "Since September of 2012, we have been providing computer assisted education services to high school, secondary school and primary school students with interactive boards which were installed in three phases namely, supply, installation and maintenance. The Internet makes a contribution to accessibility to information and critical thinking and learning processes and supports teachers. Within this framework, a total of 545 thousand and 691 classrooms will be decorated with active boards and 23 thousand new active boards will be installed at state schools until the end of 2022 as a part of FATİH project. In total, 90 percent of classrooms at state schools will be decorated with interactive boards until the end of this year. Interactive boards are the most important component of the FATİH project. Türkiye will be ranked among the top few countries in the use of technology in education when the number of interactive boards in classrooms increases by one million."
